After spending an entire day creating content for your website, it’s finally complete. You read it. It’s dry. It’s dull. It’s BORING!!! So, what do you do? Inject your content with power words of course!
What Are Power Words?
Power words are words that evoke a strong emotional or psychological response. Essentially, they add an extra dash of oomph to your content. There’s nothing special, or unique about power words. You probably use most of them every day! Let’s use an example:
‘By Lara Dee offers copywriting and resume writing services. Contact us today for a quote!’
This is factual, straight to the point and plain boring. Let’s try it again:
‘By Lara Dee offers unique copywriting services, providing enticing content to assist in converting visitors to customers! Discover how we can assist your business by contacting us today for a free, no obligation quote.’
Similar to the first example, this is factual and straight to the point. However, with the addition of a few power words, it’s so much more appealing to the reader. Now, we don’t want to go overboard by using powers words in every single sentence as this creates a spammy effect. Find the balance. Keep the tone conversational and slip in a power word wherever it feels natural to do so.
So, let’s get to it. Here are my top 33 power words!
