Who doesn’t love a bowl of warm creamy porridge on a cold winter’s morning? I love cooking this in the Thermomix! Not only does it produce an incredibly creamy texture, it also gives me approximately 9 minutes to run around the house and clean up the morning mess #mumlife.

On its own, porridge can be a little tasteless and boring. By adding some simple toppings however, porridge can be transformed into a nutrient dense, delicious breakfast that will keep you going all morning! At the moment, I love to top my porridge with fresh fruit, chia seeds, almonds and peanut butter. This combination is full of good fats and protein, making it a filling and balanced way to start the day.

Ingredients
  • 120g traditional oats
  • 300g milk
  • 400g water
Method
  1. Place all ingredients into the Thermomix bowl and cook, 9 minutes/100 degrees/speed 2 reverse.
